Bear Moran is a singer songwriter from Boulder, Colorado. She began playing music when she was six years old on her mother’s piano. Throughout middle and high school, Bear played with various bands around Boulder; and in 2016, she won Etown’s Handmade Songs competition for her original song, Thalassophobia. For her culminating high school project, Bear wrote, produced and recorded her first EP, Maps. The process of engineering Maps inspired Bear to pursue a degree in musicianship and recording arts. In 2021, Bear graduated from the Clive Davis Institute at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, with a BFA in songwriting and music technology. During her time at NYU, Bear tutored kids in voice and guitar lessons, encouraging her students to follow their passion for writing and covering songs. Now, she continues to write and produce music, featuring a combination of digital and live production techniques and vocal layering.
