Jesse West was born into a musical family in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has decades of experience playing professionally as a bassist. He also plays guitar, piano, and drums, in addition to singing, writing music, and audio engineering. He holds a master’s degree from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music (Indiana University), where he studied with legendary teachers David Baker and Michael Spiro among others. He has also been a member of the US Navy Band in San Diego. Jesse has experience teaching music in the classroom at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. He teaches music as a college instructor for San Juan College (Farmington, New Mexico) currently. The curriculum for his world music class is based on his own self-authored textbook. Jesse is led to perform and teach by a long time passion to share the joy of music with others.
