Sarah Kochevar grew up in Broomfield, Colorado and fell in love with singing when she was 8 years old. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado, Sarah had the privilege of singing Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Annchen in Der Freischutz, Pamina in Die Zauberflote and had the opportunity of originating roles in new opera works by composers in Northern Colorado including Bianca in Paul Elwood’s The Taming, and Jane in Pride and Prejudice by Arlene Siagian. Sparking her love for travel, Sarah enjoyed singing in various galas and opera performances for Opera Classica Europa throughout Germany, Italy, Spain, France and other parts of Europe. Sarah now lives in Broomfield with her dog Kolbie where she teaches private voice lessons. Sarah is so excited to be singing with Boulder Opera Company for the 2021-2022 Season, helping to bring live music back to the community after the pandemic.
