She studies with Michael Thornton, the principal horn in the Colorado Symphony, and plays in the top tier performing groups in the school. Arjun was born and raised right here in Boulder and has played piano since he was six. Today he studies Music and Political Science at CU. He is a versatile pianist with experience performing in jazz ensembles, chamber music groups, as a soloist, and as an accompanist. Austin’s piano journey has been far from traditional. He began playing piano at age 10 to participate in a rock band with his brothers. For his first five years of playing, Austin refused to learn sight-reading and picked up music primarily by ear. In high school he won awards with his school's jazz band as well as performed in the All-County concert band. Lizzie comes from a family of musicians and has been making music her whole life. Since starting piano lessons at the age of five, she has regularly performed solo repertoire and accompanied other musicians.
