Raven Doe Hygelund

Raven Dow-Hygelund is a guitarist experienced in classical, flamenco, and bossa nova guitar styles. She began her journey in classical guitar at age eight and earned her degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2025, where she was a recipient of the Sher Distinguished Musician Scholarship. Raven has performed in the United States and Canada as a soloist and ensemble musician, participating in guitar festivals, masterclasses, orchestras and chamber ensembles. Through her dedication to guitar, Raven has discovered that music allows her to express herself authentically and connect more deeply with her audience than she can with words.

Raven began teaching in highschool and enjoys working with students of all ages and ability levels. As a teacher, she builds a strong technical foundation while creating a supportive and flexible learning environment tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Whether a student wants to develop classical technique, explore other styles, or simply learn to enjoy playing guitar, Raven strives to help each student build confidence and find their own musical voice.
