Lindsay Harenberg

Lindsay Harenberg is a current student at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studies Neuroscience, Philosophy, and Music. She began playing the violin at the age of 10 years old and quickly fell in love with the instrument. Under the encouraging and warm mentorship of the renowned Allegra Wermuth, she went from Twinkle, Twinkle to Ysaye in eight years. In that time, she was concertmaster of the Jefferson County Orchestra (twice), performed as a music therapist and wedding violinist, played in chamber music groups, taught her own violin student, and attended the prestigious Preludio Violin Intensive at Ithaca College.

In college she continues to develop her solo repertoire and has performed in the CU Symphony and CU Opera Orchestra under Renee Gilliand and Nicholas Carthy. Lindsay attributes her love for the violin to a loving support system, TwoSetViolin, and the joy of playing music that she loves. As a teacher, she hopes to nurture students to find an intrinsic passion for music, keep violin fun, and cultivate the caring relationship between teacher and student that her own teacher gave her. In her free time, she can be found running, cooking, practicing yoga, or working at a memory care facility.
